Tobias Ide

Tobias Ide serves as an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations and Associate Dean of Research at Murdoch University since January 2021. In addition, Tobias Ide holds the position of Specially Appointed Professor for Peace and Sustainability at Hiroshima University from February 2023 to March 2025. Previous roles include ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Coordinator of Research Field Peace and Conflict at Leibniz-Institut für Bildungsmedien | Georg-Eckert-Institut, and Adjunct Associate Professor for Political Science at Technische Universität Braunschweig, all from 2015 to 2019. Academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Earth Sciences from the University of Hamburg, an Advanced Dissertation (Habilitation) in Political Science from Technische Universität Braunschweig, and a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Political Science from Leipzig University.
