Shaffi Mather has over 25 years of work experience. Shaffi began their career in 1995 as a Director at Mather. In 2000, they joined Essel Group as Vice President and Head of Retail. Two years later, they moved to Reliance Industries Limited as Vice President and Head of Retail Roll Out for Reliance Webworld Retail Outlets. In 2005, they founded and became Chairman of Ambulance Access for All Foundation in India. In 2007, they became a Partner and Intern at LexFin Conzel. In 2008, they joined the Indian National Congress as a Member of the Office of Rahul Gandhi. In 2011, they became an Economic Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of the Government of Kerala. In 2013, they became Director at Ziqitza Gulf Medical Response and Ambulance Services. In 2014, they founded and became Chairman of MUrgency Inc., an Airport Assist, Tech StartUp Incubator, ECommerce & Quaternary Referral Network.

Shaffi Mather has a long and varied education history. Shaffi began their education in 1973 at St. Antonys School in Cochin, India, where they completed their primary school education. In 1979, they moved to Toch H Pulic School in Cochin, India, where they completed their CBSE Secondary School Certificate in 1985. Shaffi then attended Mahatma Gandhi University, where they completed their Pre Degree in Business/Commerce, General in 1987 and their Bachelor of Commerce - BCom in Accounting in 1990. Shaffi then attended the University of Bridgeport, where they earned their Master of Business Administration - MBA in Finance in 1992. Shaffi then attended the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, where they earned their Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Administration and Management, General in 1993. In 2000, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they earned their Chevening Fellow / Senior Scholar in Leadership and Excellence in 2003. In 2007, they attended Harvard Kennedy School, where they earned their Master of Public Administration - MPA in Public Policy Analysis in 2008. In 2013, they attended Stanford University, where they worked as an Advisor for Stanford ChangeLabs from 2014 to 2016. Shaffi is currently attending IE Business School, where they are pursuing their DBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
