Tamika Schaffer, Ed.D, is an experienced professional specializing in early childhood education and training. Since April 2014, Tamika has served as the Training and Technical Assistant Coordinator at Murtis Taylor Human Services System, where responsibilities include formulating and implementing Ohio Approved Trainings for early childhood educators, overseeing staff training, and managing special needs programming. In addition to this role, Tamika has been a Field Trainer for Financial Education Services since September 2016 and has served as a Healthcare Administrator in the United States Army Reserve since March 2009, focusing on patient treatment coordination and training. Tamika holds a Doctor of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Walden University, as well as a Master’s degree in Education from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Toledo.

Murtis Taylor Human Services System is a county-wide United Way charitable organization that provides Community Mental Health, Alcohol and other addiction services, Youth, Family, and Senior services. It serves more than 11,000 children and adults annually. Youth and Family Services are provided in the Garden Valley, East Cleveland and Mt. Pleasant communities. Senior Services are provided in the Mt. Pleasant community. These include a broad range of culturally appropriate and diverse community services and programs. Community Mental Health services, which are clinical in nature, are provided countywide. These include a culturally appropriate and comprehensive array of outpatient and residential treatment. Murtis Taylor Human Services System is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a Three (3)-Star Rated Step Up to Quality childcare center, the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and nationally accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
