Vivek Gohil is the founder of Uncanny Vivek, a blog launched in August 2015 that focuses on raising awareness for adults living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, with content centered around accessibility, gaming, technology, comic books, mental health, and lifestyle. In addition, Vivek serves as a contributing writer for Eurogamer since October 2018 and has been involved with Muscular Dystrophy UK's Trailblazers network as the East Midlands Regional Ambassador since 2010, participating in impactful campaigns in various sectors including cinemas, airlines, physiotherapy, and gaming. From 2015 to 2017, Vivek co-hosted and contributed to the non-profit Muscle Owl Media, aimed at changing perceptions of disability. Vivek holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from De Montfort University, completed between 2009 and 2011.
