Michael Real

Vice President, Procurement at MUSCULOSKELETAL TRANSPLANT FOUNDATION INC

Michael Real has over 20 years of experience in the tissue banking industry. From 1992 to 1994, they worked as a Tissue Recovery Coordinator at MTF Biologics. Michael then served as the Education Director from 1995 to 2000, where they developed training courses and materials. From 2000 to 2008, Michael was the Director of Procurement at MTF Biologics. In 2008, they joined the American Association of Tissue Banks, where they held various leadership positions, including Chair of the Musculoskeletal Council and Chair of the Recovery & Donor Suitability Council. In 2009, Michael was promoted to Vice President of Procurement at MTF Biologics, overseeing various departments and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Michael Real has a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science & Mathematics from Thomas Edison State University, completing their studies in 1996. In addition to their degrees, Michael holds a certification as a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist from the American Association of Tissue Banks, which they obtained in November 1993.
