Elizabeth Dallas

Elizabeth Dallas has a diverse range of work experience in the arts and education field. Elizabeth began their career in 2014 as an Instructor at 4Cats Arts Studio - Acorn Alley and later worked as a Visitor Services Associate at the Akron Art Museum. In 2015, they interned with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco as a Family Programs Intern. Elizabeth also worked as a Childcare Provider through Sittercity, where they served as a live-in nanny and took on various babysitting jobs.

In 2019, Elizabeth became an Artist Mentor at the Tierra del Sol Foundation, providing support and inspiration to adult artists with developmental disabilities. Elizabeth also worked as an Art Instructor at the Brentwood Art Center, planning and developing art lessons for children ages 6-14.

Elizabeth's experience in the museum field continued with their role as a Teaching Artist at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where they planned and implemented art projects and workshops for children and families. Elizabeth also collaborated with teen-led workshops.

Elizabeth'steaching experience expanded with their role as an Art Teacher at the Los Angeles Unified School District, where they developed and led curriculum, managed large class sizes, and collaborated with other content areas. Elizabeth also worked as a Substitute Teacher during this time.

Since 2020, Elizabeth has been working at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock as a Teaching Artist and Administrative Assistant. In this role, they create visual art curriculum, collaborates with artists, leads workshops and programs, and handles administrative tasks such as creating promotional materials and reporting social media metrics.

Elizabeth's most recent work experience is as a Teaching Artist at the J. Paul Getty Trust, which they started in 2023.

Throughout their career, Elizabeth has demonstrated their passion for art education and has consistently sought opportunities to engage with diverse communities and age groups.

Elizabeth Dallas obtained a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction: Multi-Age Visual Arts Licensure from The University of Akron, completing their studies from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Printmaking from Kent State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Elizabeth obtained several certifications from Coursera, including "Project Execution: Running the Project," "The Cycle: Management of Successful Arts and Cultural Organizations," "Google Project Management | Specialization," "Introduction to EdTech," "Foundations of Project Management," "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project," and "Project Planning: Putting It All Together." These certifications were obtained between June and July of 2022.
