Pascal Jean Lopez has extensive experience in research and academia, currently serving as Principal Investigator at the Museum national d'Histoire naturelle since December 2010, focusing on the evolution of biomineralization and adaptation to environmental constraints within the UMR BOREA program. In addition to this role, Lopez has been with the CNRS since January 2000 as Directeur de Recherche and Director of the Observatoire Hommes-Milieux Littoral Caraïbe. Previous positions include Group Leader at Ecole normale supérieure from 2002 to 2010 and a Postdoctoral researcher at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory from 1998 to 2000, after completing a PhD in Molecular Biology at Paris-Sud University from 1994 to 1997.
