Thierry Wirth

Thierry Wirth currently serves as Vice President for International Relations and Director of Research at EPHE since January 2007, and has held the position of Leibniz Chair at the FZB - Research Center Borstel, Leibniz Lung Center since August 2022. Additionally, Thierry Wirth has been a Professor at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle since January 2007. Previous academic appointments include Assistant Professor at the University of Konstanz from April 2004 to December 2006, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology and Université Laval, spanning from September 2000 to September 2000. Thierry Wirth's academic qualifications include a Habilitation to supervise Research in Biology from Paris-Sud University, a PhD in Genetics from the University of Basel, and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Population Genetics, Evolution, and General Biology from Université Rennes 2.
