Lucia Villanueva Alonso

Lucia Villanueva Alonso currently serves as an Auction Assistant in the Director's Office at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago since April 2025. Prior to this role, Lucia worked at Sotheby's from August 2023 to March 2025, where responsibilities included supporting the Client Success team, conducting market research, managing auction bids, and overseeing high-profile consignments. Earlier experiences include an internship at Sotheby's in the Modern and Impressionist Department and an internship with the UNHCR, where contributions were made to the Global Refugee Forum. Lucia also volunteered at the Sunday Friends Foundation and served as an Assistant Curator at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts San Fernando. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in International Relations and Art History from Colgate University, along with additional studies at Stanford University.
