Marilyn Johnson is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in science education and community engagement. Currently serving as the Science Director at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry since 1996, Marilyn oversees the development of new exhibits, programs, and grant proposals, acting as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on multiple initiatives. In addition to this role, Marilyn has been a Wandering Gardener, Writer, and Knitter at Wherever the Spirit Calls since July 2015, embracing a philosophy of exploration and personal growth. Marilyn's educational credentials include a PhD in Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and multiple degrees in Microbiology, Anthropology, and Nutrition from the University of Washington.
