Shaun Newport

Shaun Newport is an accomplished arts and culture development professional with extensive experience in fundraising, event coordination, and strategic consulting. Currently serving as Director of Development at the Museum of the City of New York since October 2024, Shaun has a proven track record of enhancing donor relationships and executing successful fundraising campaigns, as demonstrated during a tenure at Manhattan Theatre Club from October 2022 to October 2024. Previous positions include roles at New York City Center, Creative Capital, and The MacDowell Colony, where Shaun consistently achieved significant increases in donor retention and major gifts. Shaun holds a Certificate in Executive Program in Arts and Culture from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA (Hons) in American and English Literature from the University of East Anglia.
