Sean Royal

Sean Royal has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of human resources and management. Sean currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Museums Victoria, where they have been working since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief People & Engagement Officer at the same company from August 2019 to December 2022. Before joining Museums Victoria, Sean was the Managing Director of Royal Consulting Pty Ltd from April 2017 to December 2022. Sean also has a significant tenure with Hyatt International, where they held various leadership roles, including Area Director of Human Resources, at their Dubai locations from November 2012 to March 2017. Sean has also served as Director of Human Resources at Grand Hyatt Dubai, Grand Hyatt Melbourne, and Park Hyatt Melbourne. Additionally, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at Delaware North.

Sean Royal has a Master of Business in Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management from Victoria University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Sean also holds a Business degree in Hotel & Business Management from William Angliss Institute, which they earned between 1989 and 1991. In terms of their secondary education, Sean completed their Higher School Certificate at Peninsula School in Mt Eliza from 1974 to 1986. In addition to their formal education, Sean has obtained certifications in various areas including Finance for Business Leaders from RMIT University in 2022, Design Thinking for Innovation from RMIT University in 2021, and Accredited Practitioner - Life Styles Inventory (LSI 1 / LSI 2) from Human Synergistics in 2019.
