Henrik Ib Jørgensen has had a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Henrik Ib started their career as an editor at Landsorganisationen af Elever in 1979 before transitioning into music journalism for various magazines from 1984 to 1988. In 1988, they took on the role of project leader for Next Stop Sovjet's Next Stop Rock'n'roll. Jørgensen then went on to establish and manage Rust, a company where they served as a founder, partner, and Sales & Marketing Director from 1990 to 2006. In 1996, they founded and managed Pussy Galore's Flying Circus until 2006. In 1999, Jørgensen became a founder and partner at Søren K, a position they held until 2006. From 2011, they served as a board member for Restaurant Søren K until 2016. Jørgensen also held the position of CEO at Muskelsvindfonden and Managing Director at Musholm Ferie, Sport & Konference from 2007 onwards. Additionally, they were a board member at VEGA from 2011 to 2023.

Henrik Ib Jørgensen completed their education at the Copenhagen Business School from 2002 to 2006. During this time, they obtained a High School Diploma in Organization and Management - Strategy and Business Development as well as a degree in HD(O) with a focus on Strategic Management and Organizational Development. Prior to their enrollment at the Copenhagen Business School, they attended Vallensbæk Statsskole from 1980 to 1983, although no specific degree or field of study was specified.
