Luis Varela

Luis Varela serves as the VP of Manufacturing and Engineering at Mustang Survival since January 2024. Previously, Varela worked as General Manager at The Patten Company from January 2021 to February 2024. Varela's engineering expertise includes a role as Senior Project Engineer Lead at Aerospace Technologies Group from August 2016 to July 2020, overseeing all engineering activities for a commercial Electromechanical Window Shade project for Boeing. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Mechanical Project Engineer at Eastern Aero Marine, directing a significant FAA project, and as Creative Designer at Play Along Toys, focusing on branding and marketing materials. Varela holds a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University, expected in December 2024, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2007.
