Matthew Sears

Matthew Sears has a diverse work experience in the engineering and oil industry. Matthew is currently working at TOPS LLC as the VP of Engineering and Manufacturing. Prior to their current role, they served as an Engineering Manager and an Operations Engineer at the same company. At TOPS LLC, they were responsible for optimizing compressor fleet performance, designing and supervising the installation of a real-time compressor optimization center, and analyzing large datasets using Spotfire and MySql.

Before joining TOPS LLC, Matthew worked as an Independent Petroleum Engineer. Matthew also gained experience at Apache Corporation, where they held various roles including Production Engineer II, Senior Engineering Technician, and Engineering Technician III. From 2014 to 2019, they attended The University of Texas Permian Basin, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering.

Prior to that, from 2006 to 2009, they studied at Dallas Baptist University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management.

In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications. In August 2022, they completed the "TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Data Visualization and Analytics" course from Udemy. In December 2020, they completed "The Complete SQL Bootcamp 2020" course, also from Udemy.
