Shawna Giguere

Shawna Giguere has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Shawna is currently working as the Vice President of Service Operations at Mutual of Omaha since May 2023. Previously, Shawna worked at Unum for a significant duration, holding various leadership positions. Shawna served as the AVP of Client Services from November 2021 to April 2023, where they were responsible for providing services to the National Client Group (NCG) segment. Shawna also played a key role in developing and executing the Service Strategy for NCG clients. Prior to this, Shawna held the role of AVP of National Client Group Services from June 2012 to November 2021, where they had direct accountability for various service functions and was instrumental in centralizing service processing. Shawna also worked as the AVP of Benefit Administration Services from October 2009 to August 2012, where they managed the creation and management of marketable Benefit Administration Solutions. Additionally, Shawna served as the AVP of Workflow & Group Systems from January 2007 to September 2009, where they focused on business requirements, system implementation, and process improvements. Before their time at Unum, Shawna worked at Systems & Software, Inc as the Vice President of Professional Services from 2004 to 2006, overseeing project management and customer support. Shawna was also involved in the implementation and customer service for multiple clients. Shawna's early work experience includes serving as the Vice President of Rekadom, Inc, a consulting firm they co-founded in 1998 and specializing in software implementations and system audits for utilities. Shawna also worked at Bangor Hydro Electric Company as the Manager of Special Projects from 1989 to 1998, where they led projects related to system enhancement and production support.

Shawna Giguere earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Teacher Education from Husson University, where they attended from 1986 to 1990. Shawna later pursued a Master of Science degree in Business from the same university, from 1995 to 1997.
