Jim Vegeais

Jim Vegeais is a highly experienced Senior Mathematical Programmer in the Actuarial Department at Mutual Trust Life Insurance Company, a position held since May 2005. With a strong background in chemical engineering, Jim has previously served as a Senior Technical Specialist at UOP, focusing on enhancing refinery profitability, and as a Senior Staff Engineer at Aspen Technology, where development of features for AspenPlus and RTOpt programs was key. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Engineering Specialist in the Process Modeling Group at BP, contributing to refinery optimization models, and as an Associate Research Engineer at Shell, where investigations into emerging technologies for process control were conducted. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago.
