Lisa Helmonds

Lisa Helmonds, MBA has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Lisa is currently the Vice President at MWA Consulting, Inc. Prior to their current role, Lisa served as a Senior Manager Clinical Quality Assurance at Gilead Sciences, where they managed a team of 20 and oversaw clinical lot release for multiple compounds in multiple clinical trials. Lisa also acted as the Quality Assurance Associate Director at Shire Pharmaceuticals, providing support during the transition from SARcode Bioscience, Inc. to Shire. In addition, Lisa previously held the position of Director of Quality Assurance at SARcode Bioscience, Inc., where they implemented a Quality Management System for Phase 1-3 clinical trials and ensured compliance with international API and Drug Product CMOs. Before SARcode, Lisa worked as the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at S*BIO Pte Ltd, where they developed and maintained quality policies and SOPs for cGXPs. Lisa also has experience as a QA Consultant at Marion Weinreb & Associates, where they worked with clients to develop quality assurance and regulatory strategies. Lisa began their career in the industry at Syva as a Chemist and later served as the QA Compliance & Documentation Supervisor at Syntex.

Lisa Helmonds, MBA earned their B.S. in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island from 1979 to 1982. Lisa later pursued a Masters of Business Administration in Management from Santa Clara University, completing their degree from 1987 to 1990.
