Erika Alonso has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, they worked as a Fractional CMO at RespondHealth starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Strategic Communications Director and Co-host of CannaCafe at the Council for Federal Cannabis Regulation (CFCR) from November 2021 onwards. In 2018, Erika co-founded and served as the CMO of Kazu™ by Witi™, a technology company focused on connected-health solutions. Erika also co-founded Wellness Insight Technologies Inc. in 2018 and held the role of Co-Founder + CMO.

Before these ventures, Erika worked as the Strategy and Evangelism, US at WomenPresent.com from April to December 2018. Erika also had a significant tenure as a Partner and Chief Storyteller at Stairwell D, a marketing agency, where they provided support in positioning, brand strategy, digital/social strategy, and more for clients such as Discovery Communications, NBC Universal, and Google.

In 2015 and 2016, Erika worked at Piccing Inc. as the Chief Marketing Officer, leading the platform's visually driven social shopping experience. Erika also briefly held the role of Interim CMO at Piccing Inc. in 2014.

Before their time at Piccing Inc., Erika was the Head of Global Marketing at Mocean Mobile from 2013 to 2014. Erika was responsible for developing the global marketing strategy for the Mojiva Ad Network and Mocean Mobile ad tech platform.

Erika's earlier experience includes a role at Apple Inc. as a Senior Manager, Creative Strategy + Market Development. In this position, they developed the global iAd story and trained media agencies on mobile brand opportunities. Erika also led sales packaging efforts and built partnership-level deals with Fortune 100 brands.

Erika Alonso pursued their education at Berkeley Preparatory from 1984 to 1990. However, the information available does not specify the degree or field of study they focused on during this time. Later, from 1990 to 1994, they attended Parsons School of Design - The New School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Illustration and Communication Design.
