Chris Frisbie has worked in the education industry since 2001. Chris began their career as a High School Social Studies Teacher for Groton Central School District in 2001, where they instructed Economics, Government and World History, and organized and facilitated an after-school chess club. In 2004, they moved to Montgomery County Public Schools as a Social Studies and Health Teacher, instructing 6-12 Grade Social Studies, Health and Physical Education courses, organizing and facilitating an after-school guitar instruction program, and helping to administer and implement a school-wide “Block it Out” sun safety program. In 2006, they became a Middle School History Teacher for Bellevue School District. In 2010, they joined Giant Campus as a Lead Virtual Instructor/Online Social Studies and Technology Teacher, providing technical support and instruction for various project-based CTE and History courses, collaborating with co-faculty on the development and implementation of a semester long cross-curricular project, and adapting and managing the Moodle LMS to enhance communication and the general user experience. In 2011, they moved to Edgenuity Inc. as an Instructional Supervisor, Lead Virtual Instructor, where they monitored work performance of co-workers and offered support as CTE department chair, provided professional development and served as a mentor to instructors new to virtual education, and developed communication templates to help facilitate and model meaningful correspondence with all stakeholders. Finally, in 2013, they joined My Tech High, Inc. as Co-Director of Course Development and Student Engagement, overseeing the development of Art, Technology, and Entrepreneurship courses for primary and secondary students through all stages of the design cycle (from course ideation through project management and delivery), with a total of 30+ unique courses delivered since 2013. In addition, they interviewed, hired, managed, and collaborated with contractors and curriculum development staff, and supported the scaling of the program through consistent and significant growth. Chris also served as a Lead Tech Mentor, Instructor, Instructional Designer, LMS Management, and Project Manager, project managing content specialists in the authoring and development of engaging, project based courses in technology and entrepreneurship, designing and creating project based courses in art, entrepreneurship, gaming and technology for students ages 5-18, and researching emerging technologies to leverage in the development of courses that employ a creative exploration approach to learning.

Chris Frisbie's education history includes a Graduate Certificate in Information Learning Technologies: eLearning Design and Implementation from the University of Colorado Denver, which they obtained in 2010. Chris also has a Master's Degree in Health Education from the State University of New York College at Cortland, which they obtained in 2002. Lastly, they have a Bachelor's Degree in History, Secondary Education, and African American Studies from the State University of New York College at Cortland, which they obtained in 1999.
