Christine Poncet has been working in the field of agricultural research since 1989. Christine began their career at Inra - Institut national de la recherche agronomique (France) as an Associate Director of Sophia Agrobiotech Institute UMR INRA (1355) – CNRS (7254) – Université Nice, Director of Research Unit “Institut Sophia-Agrobiotech” ISA-1284, Director of Integrated Horticultural Research unit URIH-880 and Team Leader Applied Pathology research laboratory. In 2014, they became Associate Director of FIORIMED Joint Techological Unit at INRA/ASTREDHOR. In 2019, they co-founded MYCOPHYTO and in 2020, they became Associate Director of FIORIMED V2 Joint Technological Unit at UMT FioriMed INRAE ASTREDHOR UCA CNRS CA06 MYCOPHYTO CAMPUS VERT d'AZUR. Her research work focuses on the greenhouse system analysis and the design of innovative, more environmentally-friendly cropping. Christine has aimed at a collaborative approach via ongoing improvement which is based on an interdisciplinary cooperation and the involvement of agricultural and economic stakeholders, with the global goal of reaching a sparse use of water, fertilizers, pesticides and energy as well as to promote the use of sustainable alternatives.
Christine Poncet attended ENSAT from 1985 to 1988, where they earned their Diplôme d'ingénieur in the field of Spécialité Protection Intégrée des Cultures.
