Fredrik Jonsson

Fredrik Jonsson currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Uppsala University, specializing in Engineering Physics with a focus on Electromagnetic Theory since October 2022. With extensive experience at Mycronic since June 2007, Fredrik holds the position of Expert in Computational Physics and previously served as a Senior Specialist and Manager in Optics & Calibration. Prior roles include Project Portfolio Leader at the University of Southampton, where research involved phase-change memory functionality and surface plasmons, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tyndall National Institute focused on photonic crystals, a Researcher at Proximion AB concentrating on fiber Bragg gratings, and a Project Manager at Ericsson overseeing optical interconnect projects. Fredrik earned a PhD in Physics and an MSc in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
