Matt Hosking

Matt Hosking has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Matt currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at MyDeal.com.au Ltd, where they are responsible for assessing the technical stack and providing an uplift strategy for scaling the platform and team. Prior to this role, they worked as a Software Development Manager at the same company, focusing on platform scalability and team uplift strategy.

Before joining MyDeal.com.au Ltd, Hosking worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at Zip Co, where they led the expansion of Zip's services to Singapore and managed the development of global merchant services. Matt also played a key role in defining a new front-end solution and automation strategy for front-end testing.

Hosking also has experience in platform engineering and development roles. Matt served as the Head of Platform Engineering at Kolmeo, where they oversaw the architecture and development of a SaaS rental property management platform. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Back End/Full Stack Engineer, managing the back-end and full-stack development at Kolmeo.

Earlier in their career, Hosking held various technical leadership and development roles at companies such as Alinta Energy, Parserr, Mercury Group of Companies, Tribal Group, Advanced Personnel Management, Icon Global, and FE Technologies. In these roles, they were responsible for leading teams, driving architecture improvements, implementing automation strategies, and mentoring team members.

Throughout their career, Hosking has demonstrated expertise in technologies such as .NET, React, NodeJS, Azure, GraphQL, and Atlassian suite. Matt has a strong focus on scalable and modular solutions, automation, and continuous improvement.

Matt Hosking completed their undergraduate education at RMIT University from 2003 to 2007. Matt earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering during this time. In 2016, they obtained a certification from Microsoft as a Certified Professional in Programming in C#.
