Jamel Vaughn

Jamel Vaughn, O.D., FAAO, currently serves as Clinical Excellence Captain and Optometrist at MyEyeDr. since July 2022. Prior to this role, Jamel practiced as a Therapeutic Optometrist at GINTER EYECARE CENTER from April 2019 to July 2022, and at Lubbock Eye Professionals from April 2018 to April 2019, where responsibilities included examining, diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases of the visual system, as well as counseling patients on visual needs. Jamel also held a similar position at Advanced Eye Care from June 2015 to August 2017, and at Mansfield Vision Center from June 2013 to May 2015. Jamel received a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2013, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Houston in 2009.
