Amit Chawathe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. amit currently holds the position of Fintech CTO / Enterprise Architect (Financial & Government Services) at Battlerz since July 2016. At Battlerz, Amit is responsible for credit and BNPL architecture, serving large and medium-sized corporate customers. amit has also been involved in various humanitarian aid projects. Amit's tech stack expertise includes Microsoft .NET Core/C#, AWS, Azure, Blazor, and Xamarin.

In addition to their current role, Amit has held several other notable positions. amit served as the CTO of MyGigsters since October 2022, where they are responsible for product and technology roadmaps. Prior to that, they were a Startup Fellow at Startmate from August 2021 to January 2022. Amit has also worked at companies such as PayPal Credit Australia / Latitude Financial Services, IBM, Fujitsu Australia Limited, and BearingPoint, where they held various technology and consulting positions.

Outside of their professional career, Amit has showcased their dedication and skills as a lifesaver, holding positions at St Kilda Life Saving Club and Coogee Surf Life Saving Club. amit has also worked as a fair trade promoter at Trade Aid NZ.

Throughout their career, Amit has received recognition for their work, including participating in prestigious programs such as the Blackbird Giants Program and being a graduate of Startmate Founders Fellowship and ygap FirstGens for social impact. amit has also won various hackathons and received honorable mentions for their innovative ideas and concepts.

Amit Chawathe has a diverse education history, spanning various fields and institutions. In 1985, they completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) at Loyola High School in Pune, India. amit then pursued Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) at Fergusson College from 1995 to 1997.

In 1997, Amit enrolled at Pune Institute of Computer Technology and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering, completing their studies in 2002. amit further enhanced their skills by obtaining a SAP Certification in Development Consulting in 2006, specializing in SAP EP & KM NW 04 - WAS 640 (Java).

Amit's education journey also includes various non-traditional programs and initiatives. In 2007 and 2008, they pursued Italian Language Studies at the Italian Institute of Culture in Melbourne. amit also completed an Executive Education program in Project Management Fundamentals at ESI - George Washington University in 2008.

From 2008 to 2018, Amit's focus shifted towards Surf Lifesaving Australia, where they participated in Surf Lifesaving Awards, acquiring skills relevant to water safety and rescue operations.

In recent years, Amit has been actively engaged in entrepreneurship and innovation programs. amit participated in the Melbourne Accelerator Program's Velocity Preaccelerator in 2017, focusing on startup development. In 2019, Amit joined the ygap Firstgens Accelerator Program, specializing in Social Enterprise.

Amit's interest in entrepreneurship continued, as evidenced by their participation in the Blackbird Giants Program, where they became a venture founder and participant, starting in 2021. Furthermore, in 2022, they completed the Puddle Pod Cohort 6 certification program from Puddle Pod.

Most recently, Amit enrolled in Swinburne University of Technology's Pre-Accelerator - Innovation Studio program, which began in 2023 and is set to continue until 2033. However, details regarding the field of study for this program are unavailable.
