Barry Connolly has extensive work experience in the intelligence field. Barry began their career in the US Army in 1988 as an Action Officer, serving until 2014. During this time, they also worked as an Intelligence Officer for the Directorate of National Intelligence, National Counter Terrorism Center from 2006 to 2009. In 2001 and 2002, they held the role of Civil Affairs Officer for the 443 Civil Affairs Battalion in Kosovo and Iraq, respectively. In 2016, they joined MYMIC LLC as an Analyst, and in 2018, they became a Senior Intelligence Analyst - Hard Targets for Calhoun International, where they focused on integrating and modernizing the Army Intelligence Environment.

Barry Connolly's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Bridgewater State College, which they obtained between 1989 and 1996.
