Shannon Delaney

Shannon Delaney is an experienced Planning Manager at News 13 Orlando since February 2018, specializing in storytelling that resonates with viewers. In this role, Shannon oversees the assignment desk and planning editors, managing everything from breaking news to in-depth segments. Previously, as a Planning Editor, Shannon collaborated with news management to shape content strategy and coordinate coverage for various platforms. Shannon has a background in assignment editing from Fox 35 Orlando and Time Warner Cable News, showcasing strong organizational and editorial skills. Education credentials include a Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Broadcast Journalism from Siena College and a Master’s degree in Communication from the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, anticipated in December 2025. Shannon is actively involved in professional organizations, including Women in Cable Telecommunications and Spectrum News 13's Local Fairness Group, and has participated as a field producer in significant events such as Hurricane Florence and various Democratic debates.
