Justin Schleede PhD, FACMG, CCG, CGMB, NYSCQ has extensive work experience in the field of genetics and genomics. Justin currently serves as the Clinical Laboratory Medical Director at Nucleus, a company focused on revolutionizing genetic testing and analysis. Prior to this, they worked as the Laboratory Director of Genetics and Genomics at Orchid and as the Site Laboratory Director of Cytogenetics and Genomics at Invitae.

Dr. Schleede also gained valuable experience at Labcorp, where they held positions as the Technical Director I of Cytogenetics and Genomics and as the Associate Genomics Technical Director of Cytogenetics. Before entering the industry, they completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Cytogenetics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, as well as a postdoctoral research assistant position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Justin Schleede PhD, FACMG, CCG, CGMB, NYSCQ has a comprehensive education history. Justin began their academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General from The University of Texas at Austin, which they completed between 1992 and 2004. Following this, Dr. Schleede pursued their passion for Genetics by enrolling at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they earned their Ph.D. in Genetics from 2004 to 2010.

To further enhance their knowledge in the field, they attended the UW School of Medicine and Public Health from 2011 to 2013 to pursue a DABMGG Laboratory of Clinical Cytogenetics degree in Clinical Cytogenetics. Most recently, in the years 2019 to 2021, they enrolled at the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics/Labcorp to attain a DABMGG Laboratory of Genetics and Genomics degree specializing in Molecular Genetics.

With this diverse educational background, Dr. Schleede combines expertise in various areas such as biology, genetics, clinical cytogenetics, and molecular genetics.
