Prabarna Ganguly, Ph.D.

Prabarna Ganguly, Ph.D., has a diverse range of work experience in the field of science communication and research. Prabarna is currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer at Nucleus, where they contribute to the company's mission of revolutionizing genetic testing and analysis. Previously, they worked at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) as a Senior Science Communications Specialist and as a Science Writer-Communications Editor. Prabarna also served as the Managing Editor at Windsor of Change, a role in which they demonstrated their skills in editorial management. Prior to that, Prabarna worked as a Science Writer at Massive Science Inc., focusing on writing about various scientific topics. Prabarna also gained experience as a SciShow Writer (Freelance) at Complexly, where they researched and wrote informative episodes for popular science education YouTube channels. Prabarna's research experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Rockefeller University, where they contributed to a genetics lab focused on optimizing DNA fragment library preparation. Prabarna also worked as a Research Assistant at Wadsworth Center, performing gene expression studies and investigating the association and interaction of functional polymorphisms in genes related to Parkinson's disease. Prabarna Ganguly, Ph.D., earned a High School Diploma from Woodstock School in 2009. From 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Biology at Bard College. Prabarna then continued their education at Northeastern University from 2013 to 2015, obtaining a Master's degree in Psychology. Prabarna Ganguly subsequently pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology, with a focus in Behavioral Neuroscience, from Northeastern University, graduating in 2018.
