Michael Appleby, P.Eng has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael started their career in 2008 as an Asset Management Support Engineer at Newfoundland Power. Michael then worked at ExxonMobil as a Facilities Support Engineer, where they completed an obsolescence study and worked on upgrading systems. After that, they joined Rutter Technologies Inc as an R&D Engineer, where they worked on testing and developed documentation. Michael then worked at Alcatel-Lucent as a Hardware Support Engineer, debugging circuit boards and developing qualification guides. Later, they joined Altera as a Software Engineer, creating software and providing technical support to customers. Michael then joined Jewer Bailey Consultants Ltd as an Electrical Engineer, designing and reviewing electrical and communications systems for building projects. Their next role was at Honeywell, where they worked as a Project Control Specialist, managing construction projects and analyzing project cost commitments. Currently, they are working at Mysa as a Project Manager.
Michael Appleby, P.Eng earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Michael graduated from this program in 2011 after six years of study, from 2005 to 2011. In February 2015, they obtained the professional certification of P.Eng from the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador.
