Sean Vater

Sean Vater is an algorithmic day trader and prompt engineer, currently focused on crafting input prompts for Python scripting with the Alpaca API based on specific trading model strategies since January 2023. Prior to this role, Sean worked as an independent IT consultant from December 2015 to September 2023, and held various systems administrator positions at companies such as Vertex Systems, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services, and Diversified Systems. Significant experience includes managing servers and systems, supporting end-users, and overseeing network installations. Sean is also a veteran of both the Ohio Air National Guard and the US Army, with a background in medical and logistics roles. Educational accomplishments include boot camps in Ruby on Rails and Python coding, as well as ongoing studies in full stack development at Blue Ocean Coding.
