Stephen Christensen has over 10 years of professional work experience. Stephen began their career in 2003 as a Geographic Intelligence Specialist in the United States Marine Corps, where they created over 120 geographic intelligence products and managed the production of over 400 geographic intelligence products in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2008, they moved to Deffenbaugh Industries as a Routing Specialist/GIS Analyst, where they utilized a variety of GIS and Business Intelligence tools to optimize service routes for all Lines of Business and built an Address Verification System with Python and Django. In 2013, they were contracted through Bradford & Galt to Cerner Corporation as a Software Engineer - Consultant, where they utilized Python 2.7 and Django with Agile methodologies to implement new roadmap features, fix critical issues, and improve performance of Cerner's Patient Portal solution. In 2014, they were contracted through TriCom to NIPR as a Software Engineer - Consultant. Finally, in 2015, they joined mySidewalk by MindMixer as a GIS Developer.
Stephen Christensen attended Strayer University from 2009 to 2013 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Systems with an emphasis in Programming. Stephen also attended the National Geospatial-Intelligence College twice, first in 2007 and again in 2004, where they earned a Diploma in Geographic Intelligence both times.
