Anupama Iyengar

Anupama Iyengar has over 20 years of professional experience in accounting and finance roles. Anupama began their career in 1994 as a Senior Accountant at Tandem Computers, where they were responsible for various GL accounts and reconciliations, month end close process, responding to questions regarding general accounting matters, and supervising an accounting clerk. Anupama also prepared schedules for external auditors and maintained a company-wide equipment loan database. In 1997, they took on a role as a Senior Accountant - Consultant at Maginet Corporation, where they maintained and reconciled various accounts such as Bank, prepaid, and accruals. Anupama also prepared and recorded inter-company invoices, reconciled inter-company accounts, and prepared audit schedules for various inter-company accounts. In 2000, they moved to Molecular Dynamics as a Senior GL Accountant, where they maintained the general ledger, was responsible for month and quarter-end close of accounts, recorded and reconciled inter-company transactions, and maintained the fixed assets system. Anupama also reported final accounts to the parent company and resolved any inter-company account differences. In 2011, they took on a role as a Project Management Support Specialist - Consultant at Valley Transportation Authority, San Jose, where they worked on the Silicon Valley BART Extension project and tracked costs and budgets related to Real Estate acquisitions. Anupama also prepared monthly budget analysis and trend reports. In 2018, they began working at MyStartUpCFO as an Accountant and Senior Accountant, where they managed multiple clients, provided accounting and bookkeeping services, managed deliverables, and supervised geographically distributed bookkeepers. Anupama also took on roles as Treasurer and Board Member at Dougherty Valley High School Music Boosters Fund, where they maintained the accounts for the Music Boosters Fund, migrated financials to QBO, managed and monitored bank accounts and cash, and as Committee Chair at Boy Scout Troop 888, San Ramon. Anupama had previously worked as Treasurer at Boy Scout Troop 888, San Ramon CA from 2014-2018, where they maintained troop accounts and bank accounts, prepared annual budgets and cost analysis, and was responsible for all financial transactions of the troop. Anupama began their career in 1998 as an Event Coordinator at Sankara Eye Foundation, USA. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Accountant at Kranz.

Anupama Iyengar holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) in Kolkata. Anupama is also a CPA Candidate from the California Board of Accountancy and a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
