Marc Espinosa has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Marc currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at mytheresa.com, where they have been since 2018. Before this role, they served as the Head of Engineering and Architect Engineer at the same company. As one of the first employees in their location, Marc was responsible for leading and building the backend team, working primarily on API and services using Golang and PHP. Marc also maintained the Kubernetes cluster and the Drone CI pipeline during the early stages.
Prior to their current position, Marc worked as a Full-stack Developer at takakochan.com from 2020 to 2021, where they developed the website using ReactJS and Golang. Marc also handled the deployment and configuration of servers.

Marc worked as a Founder & Developer at both Ibexestudio and Pop Pixel Games from 2010 to 2013, where they developed custom PHP frameworks and released an Android video game using GameMaker Studio. Marc also co-founded Disertum in 2008, where they focused on selling websites for small and medium companies and managed server maintenance and administrative tasks.

Marc Espinosa has a degree in Computer Engineering from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Marc has also obtained additional certifications in Functional Programming Principles in Scala, M101P: MongoDB for Developers, Introduction to Guitar, and Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems, all obtained in 2014 from Coursera and MongoDB.
