Joana Costa

Joana Costa has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of science and research. Joana started their career as a Research Intern at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Research Intern at Aarhus University, iNano. Joana then joined INEB as a Researcher before moving on to IVTech as a Technical Apprentice in 2015. During this time, they also pursued their PHD in the role of a PHD Student at Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca "E. Piaggio" from 2015 to 2018. Joana continued their research at the same institution as a Postdoc Researcher from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Bioengineer at Mytos since March 2021 and also serves as a Senior Scientist since March 2022.

Joana Costa's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled in the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Joana pursued a Master's degree in Bioengineering, completing their studies in 2014. During this time, they also attended the Instituto Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, where they obtained another Master's degree in the same field. In 2018, Joana attended the Università di Pisa, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Bioengineering.
