Justin Chan

Justin Chan has a diverse professional background in engineering, with experience in various industries. Justin is currently the Head of Engineering at Mytos, a role they assumed in June 2022. In this position, they oversee the device development and takes responsibility for technical direction, decision-making, and quality control.

Prior to joining Mytos, Justin worked at Deliveroo as a Hardware Tech Lead from July 2021 to June 2022. In this role, they led a team of engineers and was in charge of coordinating trade-offs between product, business, biology, software, and hardware. Additionally, they played a crucial role in the research and development of robotics and automation in the food and kitchen space.

Before Deliveroo, Justin was a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Mytos from January 2020 to July 2021, where they contributed to the development of the company's devices.

Earlier in their career, Justin held several engineering roles. Justin was a Mechatronics Engineer at Deliveroo from October 2018 to January 2020, focusing on the research and development of robotics and automation. Justin also worked as a Senior Product Design Engineer at British American Tobacco from April 2017 to October 2018, specializing in design, programming, analysis, and prototyping. Prior to that, they were an R&D Design Engineer at Dyson from August 2014 to March 2017, where they worked on new product concepts and designs. Justin's experience also includes a brief role as a Hardware Engineer at TAP Biosystems, where they developed micro bio-reactors.

Throughout their work experience, Justin has demonstrated their ability to innovate, integrate technology, and lead teams in the development of cutting-edge products.

Justin Chan obtained a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they completed their CIE Cambridge A Levels at Taylor's College, focusing on Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Thinking Skills.
