Kathryn Jewell is a dedicated social scientist currently employed at the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission since August 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Global Change Fellow at the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center and working as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, where Kathryn pursued a Master of Science in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology, focusing on the Human Dimensions of Wildlife Science. Kathryn has also held various roles including Teaching Assistant and Summer Camp Art Instructor, demonstrating a commitment to education and community engagement. Additional experience includes internships and leadership positions in organizations that emphasize philanthropy and conservation. Kathryn Jewell holds both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master of Science from North Carolina State University.
