Alex Engel is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in transportation and civic leadership. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Communications at the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) since April 2016, Alex has developed strategies to promote equitable city transportation policies and acts as the organization's primary spokesperson. Previously held roles at NACTO include Program Manager and Senior Program Associate, where responsibilities encompassed managing conferences and communications. Alex's background includes positions as Director of Digital Communications at The Municipal Art Society of New York, Digital Communications Manager at the New York City Department of Transportation, and internships in capital planning and research.
