Jan Niehaus

Jan Niehaus is an experienced instructional design consultant with a diverse background in training and development across various sectors. Currently serving as an Instructional Design Consultant at Generac Power Systems since March 2014, Jan has developed original sales seminars and interactive training programs. Engagement with Biz Library since 2008 includes conversion of traditional seminars into e-learning courses. At the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), Jan has contributed as a writer, instructional designer, market research analyst, and organizational development consultant, notably creating the "Selling Green 101" curriculum and writing a monthly column for an industry magazine. Long-standing involvement with the U.S. Green Building Council - Missouri Gateway Chapter includes board membership and leadership roles. Founder and President of Communication by Design, Jan has overseen marketing communication efforts and custom training programs since 1985. Educational background includes a BA in English, psychology, and philosophy from Valparaiso University, along with graduate studies in social work and MBA courses at Washington University in St. Louis.
