Alice Tsui

National Teacher Leader at NAfME

Alice Tsui is an accomplished music educator with extensive experience in diverse educational roles within the New York City Department of Education, Carnegie Hall, and various higher education institutions. As the Founding Music Teacher and Arts Coordinator at the NYC Department of Education, Alice established a culturally-responsive music program and advocated for social justice through music education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at New York University and Core Faculty at Carnegie Hall, Alice focuses on fostering creativity and equity in music instruction while mentoring future music educators. Additionally, Alice has contributed to national initiatives on diversity, equity, and inclusion in music through the National Association for Music Education and has maintained a private piano teaching practice. Alice holds multiple degrees in music education from prestigious institutions and is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University.
