Gwen Sandford

Gwen Sandford has extensive experience in international education and program management. Currently serving as the Region I Secretary for NAFSA: Association of International Educators since January 2017, Gwen is responsible for keeping minutes of meetings and producing a quarterly newsletter. As a Program Manager in International Admissions at the University of Portland since August 2007, recruitment of international students and management of application workflows using various systems is included in the role. Additionally, Gwen was a Program Assistant and leadership team member with Northern Oregon International Educators (NORIE) from May 2013 to June 2015, where coordination of member meetings and outreach efforts were key responsibilities. Gwen holds an MBA from the University of Portland and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies and Spanish from California Lutheran University, along with participation in the University of Washington NW Cádiz Program focused on Spanish language and literature.
