Martin Schoenball

Martin Schoenball is an experienced project manager and researcher in the field of geosciences, currently serving as a Project Manager at Nagra since September 2020, overseeing repository monitoring and earthquake hazard assessments. Previously, Martin was a Research Scientist at Berkeley Lab from January 2018 to August 2020, managing projects and conducting hazard assessments related to geologic carbon storage. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions at Stanford University and Temple University with the U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on seismicity analysis. Martin earned a PhD in Geosciences from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where research included wellbore stability and induced seismicity. Additional experience includes work as a Geophysicist at GEOWATT AG and CSIRO, engaging in numerical studies related to geothermal reservoirs and fluid-induced seismicity.
