Mathieu Fivaz has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Mathieu is currently working as a Senior Vice President and Chief Data Science & AI at NAGRA since April 2021. Prior to that, they founded UltimEscape in 2017 where they served as a board member and utilized innovative technology to provide a hybrid physical and digital experience. In the same year, they also co-founded Slam Advertising, an adtech startup that created self-expression native ad formats.
Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Mathieu worked as a Partner at Digital Strategy in 2016 and as a Startup Coach at CTI startup in the same year. Mathieu served as a Strategic Advisor at Go Beyond Investing from 2015 to 2021, where they managed digital marketing, technology development, and aided in fundraising and investor interaction.
Mathieu has significant experience as a co-founder and COO of Urturn from 2011 to 2015, where they managed operations for a web platform used by celebrities and advertisers. Mathieu also co-founded Mnemis in 2008, a privately funded education software start-up focused on interactive whiteboard software.
Additionally, Mathieu held the position of Vice-President at Nagravision, Kudelski Group from 2003 to 2008, and as Vice-President of Broadcast Solutions at Lysis SA from 1998 to 2002, where they had profit-and-loss responsibility and oversaw various teams.
Mathieu Fivaz earned a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1985 to 1990. Mathieu then went on to pursue a PhD in Plasma Physics at EPFL from 1993 to 1997.
