Kent Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kent started their career as a UX Consultant at Autodesk in 1998. Kent then moved on to roles at Netscape and Openwave Systems, where they specialized in UX development and led a team as an Executive Producer. In 1990, they founded their own start-up called Strange Magic Games.
In 1991, they transitioned into a career as a writer, focusing on narrative nonfiction with a travel setting. Kent Mitchell created a set of vignettes called "Thirty Days In Florence".
From 1998 to 2011, they founded and operated Sage Property Solutions, a California Real Estate Brokerage, specializing in multi-unit properties in North Oakland and Berkeley.
In 2005, they founded Berkeley Investors Group and was responsible for managing a portfolio of multi-unit apartment buildings. Kent also led a group of investors and brokers in evaluating market and purchase opportunities.
In 2006, they joined La Joya de la Costa Development as an Investor/Advisory Group member.
In 2010, Kent Mitchell joined NAI Northern California, initially as a Broker Associate and later assuming roles as a Licensed Officer, Vice President, and eventually Senior Vice President. Kent'sresponsibilities included compliance supervision, top-performing agent in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, and focusing on multi-unit properties in Berkeley, Oakland, and surrounding areas.
Kent Mitchell attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1983 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature. Kent also studied at Eastern Seminary in Philadelphia, PA from 1987 to 1989 and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Research in Contemporary Theology. Additionally, they have a certification as a Certified Professional Coach from The Coaches Training Institute (CTI).
