M.D. Asif Ahmed Shaikat

Md. Asif Ahmed Shaikat is an experienced marine engineer with a robust background in engine room operations and maintenance. Currently serving as Cargo/Second Engineer at NAKILAT since July 2022, Md. Asif has previously held positions including Cargo Engineer at Seapeak and Second Engineer at Silverline Maritime Sdn Bhd, where responsibilities included engine room management and maintenance tasks. Early career experience includes roles as Third Engineer and Junior Engineer at Atlas Marine Services Pte Ltd and Krung Thon Nava, respectively. Additionally, Md. Asif has a diverse educational background in marine engineering, with degrees from Solent University, DG Shipping Bangladesh, and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
