Naomi Lilly has a wealth of work experience. In 2016, they began their career at Duke University, where they held multiple roles, including Duke Story Plus Research Intern, Duke NAACP Political Co-Chair, Duke Gift Shop, Duke Black Student Alliance Invitational (BSAI) Co-Chair, Duke Deja Blue (Acapella), and Duke University Her Campus Chapter. In 2018, they worked as an Inclusion and Recruiting (HR) Intern and an Incoming HR Intern at LinkedIn, as well as a Programming and Development Intern at BET (BET Networks, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc.). Naomi also worked as a Freelance Videographer at Radio One. In 2018, Lilly also began working as an MLT Career Prep Fellow at Management Leadership for Tomorrow. In 2020, they became an Investor at Backstage Capital, a Digital Content Strategist Intern at Freshmeet U., and a Senior Analyst, Public Affairs at Forbes Tate Partners. Most recently, in 2021, Lilly became the Founder and CEO of NAL and a Seller Programming Coordinator at Depop, where they collaborated with 3000+ sellers to provide account management tactics to grow seller shops quarterly, created a sustainable sellers directory for 300+ sellers in Depop’s U.S. database, and planned and executed a company-wide Hispanic Heritage Month activation for the U.S.
Naomi Lilly began their education journey at Howard High School, which they attended from 2012 to 2016. Naomi then attended Duke University from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in African-American/Black Studies. In 2019, they attended the University of Southern California for Communication and Media Studies. Later that same year, they enrolled at New York University for Art History, Criticism and Conservation. Currently, Naomi is enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University, where they are pursuing a Dual Degree in Master's and MBA in Communication and Media Studies. In addition to their education, Naomi has obtained several certifications, including Fighting Gender Bias at Work from LinkedIn in 2020, Unconscious Bias Training from LinkedIn in 2019, Avoiding Burnout from LinkedIn in 2019, and Building Self-Confidence from LinkedIn in 2014.
