Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and design in the energy sector. Currently serving as Lead Engineer for Major Projects at Newfoundland & Labrador Hydro since January 2024, Mike Taylor manages multi-discipline teams for the construction of major hydraulic turbine-generating facilities and collaborates on developing new contract guidelines. Prior roles include Senior Project Engineer at Nalcor Energy, where Mike Taylor focused on upgrades to power generation systems, and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler, handling design and capital management for heavy industrial facilities. Earlier experience includes project management at Stantec for building services engineering and ownership of Elements Engineering, offering design services with an emphasis on energy efficiency.
