Richard Dixon has a diverse work experience. Richard started their career as an Event Coordinator Intern at NAMI Indiana in May 2015. Richard then transitioned into the role of Outreach Coordinator from January 2016 to September 2017. After that, they served as the Outreach and Events Manager from September 2017 to December 2019. In December 2019, Richard joined Creekside Middle School as an Assistant Wrestling Coach. Richard is currently working as the Program Director at NAMI Indiana since April 2023.

NAMI Indiana is the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We are a grassroots public charity helping people living with serious mental illnesses, their families and friends. We support local NAMI affiliates, train volunteer leaders, provide continuing education for professionals, and partner for systems change at the state level. NAMI Indiana provides advocacy, support, education, and training programs for people and groups across Indiana.
