Amanda McDowell

Amanda McDowell is an experienced professional with a background in event coordination, editorial writing, and freelance writing. Currently serving as an Event Coordinator at NAMI NYS since March 2022, Amanda previously held the role of Editorial Writer at the New York State Department of Financial Services from March 2016 to May 2022, where responsibilities included rewriting the Department’s General Administration Manual and collaborating with subject matter experts. Amanda also worked as a freelance writer and copyeditor from November 2011 to May 2022 and served as an Administrative Assistant at Excelsior College for a brief period in 2015-2016. Amanda McDowell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the State University of New York at Oswego.
