Henry L. has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Trainee Patent Attorney at Carpmaels & Ransford in 2018. During this time, they handled various subject matters within life sciences and biotechnology and also pursued their PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, focusing on surface display of heterologous proteins on Bacillus subtilis spores. Henry joined Crunchyroll in 2014 as a Localisation Professional and later became a Part-Qualified Patent Attorney at Carpmaels & Ransford, where they handled a variety of biotech-related projects. In 2021, they founded Waku Studios and is currently serving as the Founder & CEO. Additionally, they recently founded NamiComi, a global ecosystem for comics and manga creators and fans, where they hold the position of Founder & CEO.

- From 2001 to 2006, they attended Bexley Grammar School, where they earned their GCSE degree.
- After that, they pursued their education at the same school and obtained an International Baccalaureate degree from 2006 to 2008.
- Henry then enrolled at King's College London from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Biochemistry.
- In 2011 and 2012, Henry L. attended UCL and completed a Master of Science degree in Biochemical Engineering.
- Continuing their educational journey, they pursued a PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge from 2013 to 2017.
- Finally, in 2019 and 2020, Henry L. attended Queen Mary University of London and received a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law.
